Purpose

The purpose of the EYFS CAT is for staff to work collaboratively to create impactful strategies to enhance the early year’s education of our children. We have regular meetings and training to share best practice and discuss evidence-based research for improving teaching and learning in the early years. Through a collective effort and a commitment to continuous improvement, schools within the trust create a supportive network that fosters collaboration, enriches pedagogy, and ultimately enhances the early year’s educational experience for all students. Staff visit each other’s settings, moderate assessments and observations and share new initiatives that they have successfully put into place. This term, the schools within the trust, will begin Reggio Emilia Approach training delivered with Andrea Curran.

As some schools are now using FFT we need a new system for inputting the data and tracking across the year. We will discuss what schools are currently using and what information they need to show at progress meetings. HN is creating a spreadsheet for schools that are using FFT.

Drawing Club

CAT offered training on drawing club for the schools. How many schools have attended?

Have they started to implement it?

What is the impact?

Would staff find it useful to share planning for drawing club on teams?
