Science Learning Network
Donna is currently the Primaries Science Lead across a Multi Academy Trust in the North West. She has been teaching for 30 years and is a science specialist who is passionate about every child developing their enthusiasm, knowledge and understanding of science through an inspiring curriculum.
Donna is an accredited and experienced primary science consultant providing support to teachers and science leaders across England guiding them with developing and implementing their science curriculum as effectively as possible. She is a STEM Learning Senior Professional Development Leader. Donna has previously worked with the Standards & Testing Agency as part of their KS2 Science Teacher Panel and the BBC.
Purpose
Within the CAT Computing Community, our primary objective is to offer robust support to schools in enhancing their Science Curriculum. As part of this community, we will hold half termly meetings tailored for Science subject leads, ensuring a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange.
In addition, we will curate comprehensive knowledge bases and resources, equipping teachers/subject leaders with the tools needed to deliver high-quality computing education. Furthermore, as part of the community, we can provide school improvement support (if required), via School Improvement Director Kate Doyle / Andrea Curran / CLTA.
At the heart of the CAT Science Community lies our unwavering commitment to ensuring that every Trust school delivers excellence in Science education. By fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within Science, we strive to empower educators and enrich the learning experiences of our students.
